Over the last four decades of my life I have seen a great deal of the good and the bad practices of todays Christians. The good they do in acts of service and presenting the love of Christ, and the bad things they practice as well as the non scriptural teachings they hold fast to. Today I am going to address the non scriptural teaching of lengthy prayers.

Many churches have nights each week that they devote to praying for various things together. Sometimes this could be an hour to several hours long. There are others outside the church walls that will call for a day of prayer for the nation, a single person that may be in the hospital, or someone just in need of help spiritually to gain or regain their faith in Christ and return to Him.
